T.I.S. President Tom Sweigart has 15 years of experience in loss prevention and recovery management, which includes filing and recovering freight loss and damage claims. His expertise has earned him a reputation within the industry as he provides instruction on receiving freight and documenting shipping discrepancies to distribution facilities, cross-dock operations and warehouses. As a former board member on the Transportation and Logistics Council, Tom offered instruction to the international shipping public concerning salvage, mitigating loss and a variety of subjects related to freight claim filing, handling and documentation. Tom is known for his success in streamlining and standardizing corporate handling and recovery of lost and damaged freight to maximize recovery and minimize future losses. Specializing in settlement negotiations, proper application of current statutes, case law and tariff provisions as well as mitigation of losses and proper procedure standardization instruction, Tom Sweigart and T.I.S. bring sound logistical discrepancy solutions to a global marketplace.
